• Sisal

Sisal is a rough fibre which is won from the leaves of a special agave. Unlike the Tampico fibre the sisal fibre cannot be used as single fibre. The raw fibre is shorter and softer and thus can only be used in a spun shape (sisal cord 3-fold twisted or 8-fold braided). Its hardness and aggressivity may be varied by impregnations and increased trimming density in order to adapt it to customer-specific requirements.
